The Republican Party presidential candidate is John McCain but Palin appears to be more of the candidate than he is because she is in the media more than McCain is. For example, in the cartoon Palin is in front of McCain blocking all the shots, while McCain is in the back just being protected by her. She is blocking the pucks which are compared to issues and question for McCain. McCain does not have to answer questions because Palin is in the spot light, taking all the pressure, like she is the presidential nominee. Also in the cartoon, Palin has a jersey on that says, “HOCKEY MOM”. One of the topics of the media for Palin is that she is a hockey mom and perfect at everything, which is shown by this evidence. Palin is more of the presidential nominee that McCain is and she defends what he should be defending.
