I centered my collage on the Republican Party (red) and what John McCain has to offer for America. Since McCain is Republican, I put the elephant and a picture of him speaking in front of the American flag. The words that I incorporated tell what McCain has to offer for Americans. I feel as if McCain is very similar to George W. Bush and that is why I used the word ‘same’ repeatedly. Also I put an “MCCAIN PRESIDENT ‘08” because some people are considering voting for him. My collage on McCain is a visual view of what McCain and his party stand for.
The collage I did on Barack Obama mostly shows hope and change that Obama as a democrat is offering America. Since Obama is a democrat he wants freedom, equality, safety, etc and I showed that in my collage with the democratic poem. The color scheme that I used for Obama’s collage is blue, for the Democratic Party. I also put the “OBAMA FOR PRESIDENT” to give him the same opportunity that McCain has. This collage is the visual view of what Obama and his party stands for.
I tried to balance my collages by incorporating similar pictures and ideas. I did that by putting both of the party’s symbols, colors, and candidates. Another way that I evened it out was by putting similar pictures in similar spots. I wanted to show a connection and that is how I accomplished it.
